Stallions
For stallions, LDS offers many options for your future herd
sire, all on-site!
- Stallion Training for Collection
via Phantom~ Includes training, with 2 collecting
“jumps” per day. Your stallion stays for 3 days
at LDS.
- Stallion Semen Evaluation
for Motility~ Includes clean out and second
jump 2 hours later evaluated for motility, volume and semen
count. Stallion is dropped off and pickup next day for younger
stallions, or same day service for experienced phantom trained
stallions. Trailer overnight parking included.
- Fresh, and Cooled Semen
Testing for Shipping~
Additional testing to see if your stallion’s semen
will do well for shipping. This is in addition to the Semen
Evaluation. Includes extension, analysis, preparation “for
transport” (cooling), and testing at 24, 48 and 72
hours.
- Collection for Shipping~
Expanded your clientele nationally with cooled shipped semen!
Fee includes collection, preparation, extending, cooling,
packaging in a disposable Bio-Flyte container and shipping
to anywhere in the US via Fed-Ex Next day.
- Young stallion Pre-Purchase
Semen Testing~ Test your next potential
stallion. LDS will evaluate your stallion prospect with
a testicular soundness exam, testicular measuring, semen
collection and evaluation. Make this a part of your next
selling/buying contract and do it within 30 days of purchase
to insure your next stallion can produce.
Mares
For Mares and their Owners, LDS can take the headache of breeding
to that perfect stallion with our drop off, and pickup vet
checked in foal service! No vet farm calls and trip charges,
over and over, or time off work… We do it all!
- Vet Ultrasound~
LDS starts with a vet ultrasound to determine follicle size
and the time that is right to breed.
- Hormones~
Are available to help successfully bring your mare into
heat, back into heat, pass the follicle, etc..
After the vet has checked via ultrasound the size of the
follicle, he may suggest to use hormones. This enables a
more predictable time to successfully breed your mare. The
vet or LDS can administer these.
- Outside Stallion Semen Acceptation~
Have semen of your favorite stallion anywhere in the world
sent here, and your done. We do the rest including sending
the container back. (shipping at your cost)
- Evaluation of Semen~
Before LDS artificial inseminates your mare, the outside
semen is checked for motility. Why take the chance of placing
it in your mare and not conceiving? Make sure it’s
good and it survived the rigors of shipping!
- Vet checked in foal~
This is the next time a vet is involved...to make sure by
ultrasound that your mare conceived.
- AI with outside stallion

- Mare Teasing~
For new breeders, who are not familiar with how to predict
a mare’s heat cycle and when to breed, LDS can help
with on-site stallion teasing of your mare. Learn your mare’s
monthly heat cycle dates, length of them, etc.. Fees are
determined on length of stay. It can take a month for approximates
dates or more per owner’s wishes to determine cycles
more predictability.
